Christo Vladimirov Yavachev (Gabrovo - Bulgaria, 1935) is a Bulgarian artist.
He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia and soon after moved to Paris where he met Jeanne-Claude, whom was to become his wife and artistic partner of the project which was to herald them among the most important exponents of land art. In the 1960s, the couple moved to New York. The projects are given body with the aim of temporarily changing the landscape. The best known works include the wrapped up monuments and laying of extensive pieces of fabrics in natural places.
