Mikayel Ohanjanyan (Yerevan, Armenia, 1976) attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Yerevan. In 2000, he moved to Florence where he now lives and works while studying sculpture at the Accademia di Belle Arti. Ohanjanyan was awarded the Prix Henraux 2014. His works can be found in Italian and international collections including those of the Vatican, the Henraux Foundation, Targetti’s Light Art collection and in the city of Neustadt an der Weinstrasse collection in Germany, as well as in private collections throughout the world. In 2015, together with a group of eighteen other artists and curator Adelina von Furstenberg, Mikayel Ohanjanyan won the Leone d'Oro prize for Best National Participation at the Venice Biennale.
